Café Solidair is a platform created by Alken-Maes to support businesses during the difficult period of lockdown in Belgium when restaurants and pubs had to stay closed.
Coupons or vouchers could be purchased through www.cafesolidair.be. which were used to help businesses earn some income, even when their venues were closed. Consumers could then redeem the coupons as the pubs and restaurants started to open their doors again.
Throughout the country, Café Solidair was a huge success: in 10 weeks time, more than 100,000 pints were ordered!
