FACING THE NEW NORMALBars, pubs and restaurants are now open again. They face new challenges to keep us safe as they help us to reconnect.
The new normal
Hospitality establishments are reopening as Europe’s vaccination program continues to be rolled out and Covid’s impact is progressively brought under control.
These establishments are welcoming back customers who want to reconnect with each other over a drink.
Yet people need to know that these places will not only be as dependable and convivial as they were before the lockdown, but will also be safe and responsible environments.
Facing new challenges
Establishments are eager to reopen as soon as they can. But there are a number of challenges still to overcome. These include ensuring that social distance guidance is respected and ongoing restrictions are respected.
Many hospitality establishments will unfortunately never reopen, even after the all Covid restrictions are removed. However, many in the sector have weathered the crisis and made the necessary investments to ensure Covid-safe environments: they are ready once again to serve beer.
A safe, secure and sustainable future is absolutely vital. Hospitality venues, event organisers, breweries and the whole supply chain need help to bridge the gap, not just towards first and partial re-openings, but towards full recovery.
